Elbow Kiss weaves gentle string plucking with haunting melodies and prose into elegies to past selves and loves. Drawing on influences of classic country "honkey tonk angels", contemporary indie, and their own yearning and heartbreak, Elbow Kiss gets right down to the seed of the feeling through harp, guitar, and reverberous vocals.
Sofia Miller swirls confessional lyrics into reveries of experimental alt folk with hints of jazz, shoe-gaze and rock. Sofia's rich songwiriting gilded with airy falsetto and wrapped in a warm blanket of rippling guitar licks; guiding you softly on a journey through the psyche.
Trevor Lang crafts melody centric compositions with a focus on intricate and emotive lyrics that immerse you into movie-like settings. Taking inspiration from artists of the past (Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Randy Newman) and the present (Joanna Newsom, Sufjan Stevens, Adrianne Lenker) Trevor honours the great songwriter tradition before him whilst staying true to his own distinct vision.
Elan Noon melds nostalgic intonation into emotionally-driven pop songs, taking after introspective multi-instrumentalists like Elliott Smith and Judee Sill. Elan Noon's sentimental tone warbles in and out of offbeat textures, misty lyricism and playful distortions.
