Alien Child

"Painting an original color without copy-pasting others" has always been Alien Child's motto since they first carved their first footsteps on the Indonesian music scene back in 2018 with their debut, full-length album Takeoff. Hailing from Bali Island, the duo comprises sisters Lala Maranda and Aya Maranda, both of whom served as vocalists, songwriters, producers and instrumentalists. Their chops at serving up electropop sound that is both modern and relatable have been proven by idiosyncratic works such as "No Trust, No Pain" and a 2020 EP dubbed Euphoria. Moreover, alternative-leaning numbers such as "Imajinasi Senja" (Imagination in the Late Afternoon) and "Lonely Holiday" helped cemented Alien Child's potential as a musically versatile duo. Alien Child releases their music independently, with a new, full-length album being expected to bow in 2023.
