Dawson Forsey

Born in Newfoundland and now based in Vancouver, Dawson Forsey is a singer-songwriter whose music blends lo-fi alt-country and indie rock with plainspoken storytelling. His music has been featured by Exclaim!, which described his songs as “sleepy-eyed balladry, boot-stomping romps and jangly country rock.” With his band, Forsey has built strong momentum on the Vancouver live circuit, performing high-energy, communal sets at venues such as The Heatley, Red Gate, and Green Auto. Straddling folk, country, and rock traditions, his work reflects a distinctly Canadian perspective — grounded, narrative-driven, and built to connect in both intimate rooms and festival settings.
