DOUR

Hailing from Vancouver, B.C., DOUR channels the city’s dark energy into a raw, hypnotic, and emotionally charged sound. Gritty yet urgent, their music explores themes of inner conflict, anti-establishment tension, and control. Fronted by Zak Salehian’s harrowing vocals and razor-sharp guitar work, the band is propelled by Patrick Hamil’s relentless percussion, Bronwyn O'Keefe's grounding bass lines, and now Moksh Amin on second guitar, adding even more depth to their wall of sound.

Influenced by Joy Division, Television, Gang of Four, The Cure, and Sonic Youth, DOUR bridges the gap between post-punk’s past and its future. Their debut EP Rudiments (Jan 2025) introduced listeners to their dark, dreamlike sonic world—a sound some have dubbed “gloomwave.” With sold-out shows across Vancouver and performances alongside Freako, Tropical Fuck Storm, DZ Deathrays, and Omni, DOUR is quickly making their mark. Rudiments and their most recent single Numbers build anticipation for their debut full-length album, set for release in 2025.
