mt. logan
mt. logan are an ambient synth duo based on Lekwungen lands. Named after Canada’s tallest peak, bringing together the creative forces of composer, sound artist Megan Harton and music technologist Isaiah Doyle. Both hailing from diverse backgrounds as multi-instrumentalists and music producers, they formed a bond during a local experimental sound festival, united not only by their musical endeavours but also their shared passion for trivia.
Megan Harton, a Tkaronto-born composer, delves into the intricate interplay between memory, place, and people. Currently pursuing a Masters of Music Technology at the University of Victoria, Megan holds an Honours Bachelors of Music in Composition from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Isaiah Doyle, on the other hand, is immersed in the intersection of sound and computers with a passion for the development of accessible creative tools. Isaiah is working toward completing the Music and Computer Science program at the University of Victoria.
Together, mt. logan show a promising unique blend of ambient sounds crafted by these two emerging talents.
